As part of their experience in Shanghai, the students of the MSc in Sports Industry Management develop an In-Company Project for a sponsor company. This business project is a key module and a true stepping-stone for the students before starting their internship.
The In-Company Business Project is about teamwork and thanks to the international cohort and the fact that the project takes place in Shanghai, students build up on intercultural skills and get a good sense of the Asian market, a crucial region for the global sports industry.
Kranthi Musunuru, a current student of the programme, talks about the project he has been working on:
“In continuation of my education in France, I chose to be a part of the group working on a comprehensive market research of the Chinese Sporting Goods Industry for Sporting Goods Intelligence(SGI) Europe. This gave me the opportunity to meet and interact with several Senior Executives of brands like Adidas, Asics, Mizuno, Li-Ning, Under Armour, etc…I have also been travelling across China, trying to understand the sporting culture, retail development, and scope for sporting goods brands in the most populous market in the world. As someone who believes in the concept of experiential learning, the time I have spent in Shanghai has been a crucial part of my learning curve.”
