Welcome to the new intake of the MSc in Sports Industry Management!

The Official Opening Ceremony of the MSc in Sports Industry Management took place at the beginning of September on EMLYON’s European Campus, marking the start of the students’ journey in the programme.

The MSc in Sports and Outdoor Industry Management’s new intake welcomes international students who share the same passion for sports and who come from different backgrounds and countries, including Taiwan, France, the United Kingdom, India and Bulgaria.

After their Opening Ceremony, the students of the programme travelled to Annecy for their Orientation Week which was organised in close collaboration with Outdoor Sports Valley, the programme’s partner. During 5 days, the students met with specific companies of the sports industry such as Salomon, participated in many outdoor activities and took the time to know each other before starting classes.  The week ended with a dinner organised by Programme Director Pascal Aymar and OSV during which programme alumni shared their experience with the new intake. One of the programme graduates advised the incoming cohort to "take full advantage of this programme as it really is a life-changing experience".

The first portion of the programme taking place on EMLYON’s European Campus will end in December, after which the students will head off to Annecy, in the heart of the Alps and a city home to many sports and outdoor companies such as Eider, Millet, Salomon, Tecnica, The North Face…. In April 2014, the programme will continue in Shanghai and will plunge the students in the Asian market - a unique opportunity to discover the way to do business in China and more globally in Asia through an in-company project.

We wish all the best to the new students of the MSc in Sports Industry Management for their future endeavours in the programme.
