Meet Andres, future student of the MSc in International Hospitality Management

  • Tell us a bit about your background.

I´m a 23 years old student from Quito in Ecuador. I´m very familiar with France´s culture because I attended a French school at a very young age. In fact, I have a scientific bachelor´s degree with a specialization in Mathematics. After high school, I decided to go to college here in Ecuador. I recently graduated with a Culinary Arts and Food and Beverages Management degree. I´m very eager to go to France and I really liked European culture.

  • Why did you decide to join the program? 

My college, San Francisco University of Quito, has an alliance with the Institut Paul Bocuse. Therefore, I heard about this program with emlyon business school. Since I got an affinity with mathematics, accounting and finance, and thanks to the vice dean of culinary arts, I was able to enroll in the program.

  • What do you expect from the program? 

I expect to be able to complete all my restaurant management knowledge. Also, I want to complete my training by learning hotels and general hospitality companies’ management. Finally, I want to bring all this knowledge to Ecuador and try to have an influence in the hospitality industry.

  • Three words to describe yourself? 

Honest, perseverant and hard-worker.
