During this year’s Entrepreneur’s Day, workshops which covered the theme of Start-Up Companies were organised and allowed experts and young entrepreneurs to exchange on their entrepreneurial endeavors.
Here are a few examples of the themes discussed during this special day:
As a partner of the event, KPMG animated a workshop called “Financing your project”. Following this workshop and during a private interview, François Bloch, National Market Manager of Growing Companies at KPMG, talked about KPMG’s relation to EMLYON Business School’s Incubator. This special relationship between both entities is due to the creation of a Chair in February 2013 which fosters research and knowledge-sharing to respond to certain key issues of innovative and growing companies.
A certified public accountant, specialised in Start-Up Companies, Jean- Pascal Rey from Odicéo and banker Pascaline Morel who works for CM-CIC, participated in the workshop “ Bank financing and Start-Up” and talked about the best-practices between banks and start-ups: identifying key spokesmen, essential financing tools, and preparing specific document ( including a business plan, accounting information etc… )
Ernst & Young attended the workshop, “Building your business model”, answered the question “How to transform an idea into an innovative and valuable creation, especially when talking about Start-Ups?”
Many other workshops animated this event, allowing participants to have a true reflection around the subject of entrepreneurship and developing an entrepreneurial mindset.
